Read the story of buildOn

We’re excited to see Walk in Their Shoes make the debut of the New York Times Best-Seller List of Education. Created by Deborah Hofmann, senior editor of the New York Times Best Sellers List, the list compiles books that gained popularity not only in December 2013, but also experienced continued sales from previous years.

The Top 75 New York Times Best-Selling Education Books of 2013 includes adult nonfiction titles that “try to teach the reader, or tell us how we learn or why we learn — or, sometimes, why we do not.”

It is through Walk in Their Shoes that we learn of people who have changed their own lives and the world, overcoming tremendous odds to triumph and inspire. It tells the story of Jim Ziolkowski, CEO and founder of buildOn, and the thousands of young people behind buildOn who have also decided to step forward, step up, and make a difference.

To make the NY Times Education Best Seller list is a testament to both the power of the book and to all of the hard work behind each student, staff, and investor of buildOn. We couldn’t have done it without you!

To celebrate this huge success we’ll be giving away a free copy of Walk in Their Shoes every Friday on the buildOn Facebook page (www.facebook.com/buildOn) and Twitter account (@buildOn). Connect with us and help spread the word!
