The event will begin at 5:30 pm with a cocktail hour and reception hosted on the 45th floor of Jenner and Block followed by a light dinner and presentation with Chicago students and buildOn Founder and CEO, Jim Ziolkowski about violence, education and poverty.

Since 1993 buildOn students in Chicago have contributed over 242,196 hours of community service to their neighborhoods. Last year alone, they contributed over 45,000 hours of service in some of Chicago’s most talked about and challenging neighborhoods. Join other buildOn investors in Chicago and have the opportunity to hear directly from our students how the issues of violence, education and poverty affect them and how they are using service to break down those barriers to success. You will have a chance to interact with our students throughout the evening as they showcase their accomplishments in each of their schools and neighborhoods.
