Feed Communities, Not Stigma
Our goal is to feed thousands of families in the U.S.!
The meal-kit you create will be joined with handmade recipe books created by buildOn students. The full kit will then be distributed by some buildOn students in socially distanced service projects.
The COVID-19 pandemic has sent shockwaves through already fragile food systems in our backyards and around the globe.
As an alarming number of people find themselves experiencing food insecurity, we can’t afford to wait any longer and are calling our ONE buildOn movement to action.
Join buildOn students in completing a nutritious meal-kit for a family in need.
Download our buildOn service tool kit to create a meal-kit for one family at a buildOn partner food pantry or soup kitchen.
Here’s How It Works
Sign-up and choose the food pantry you wish to support. Then, download your digital service tool kit.
The toolkit includes:
- An investigation activity to dig deeper into the issues of food insecurity and the stigma surrounding it.
- A shopping list of nutritious, shelf-stable food items.
- Downloadable “Notes of Encouragement” to include in your meal-kit.
- Instructions for shipping to your chosen food pantry.
- A reflection activity
