A Night of Success! $2MM Raised at buildOn Dinner!

On November 21st, more than 800 buildOn supporters gathered at the Hilton in Stamford, CT to celebrate our work and the people who make it possible. It was truly a night to remember, raising an amazing $2 million to support our critical mission.

This  year’s event asked the question, Can one person change the world? And as we explored the answers we heard from two buildOn students from the South Bronx, Marlena Moret and George McCloud, who spoke of improving their grades and transforming their lives through service.

Our 2013 Dinner Chair, and buildOn champion, John Seifert, Chairman & CEO of Ogilvy & Mather, spoke about his passion for our mission and announced a formal long-term, strategic partnership between Ogilvy & Mather and buildOn. He then pledged to help buildOn become one of the “most recognized and admired public service organizations in the world” before premiering Ogilvy’s first project with buildOn, a short film titled “We Build Hope.”
