buildOn believes that authentic, sustainable partnerships are key to responsible development. In our buildOn Partner Profile we shine a light on the communities and organizations that have joined us in our fight to break the cycle of poverty, illiteracy and low expectations through service and education.

Mission: Schools3 (pronounced Schools-Cubed) began in 1994 with the goal to reduce poverty and aid in world development by bringing education to children living in poverty in Africa and Central America.

How We Partner: Since 1999, Schools3 has partnered with buildOn to construct 55 schools, mostly in Mali, West Africa. More than 8,000 children are educated in these schools every day. The impact of focusing our collective efforts on a targeted country and region is clear. In 1994 only 29% of children in Mali, West Africa had access to a classroom. Today, nearly 70% of children do.
