Giving Goes Further on #GivingTuesday
#GivingTuesday is one of our favorite days of the year. It’s a global day of giving when the world comes together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity, to do service and to give. But buildOn isn’t just about one day of giving. That’s why we’re using #GivingTuesday, December 1st, to kick off a holiday celebration of young people who are #GivingEveryDay to transform themselves, their communities and our world. This year, we have some exciting ways for you to support buildOn and make giving go further on #GivingTuesday:
Make a donation on #GivingTuesday and your gift will be doubled!
All gifts will be matched 1:1 on #GivingTuesday by buildOn supporters Britta and Denis Nayden! Britta and Denis are two long-time members of the buildOn Movement who have given selflessly to help break the cycle of poverty, illiteracy and low expectations. This year, they want as many people as possible to support buildOn, so they’re matching your donation on #GivingTuesday until we reach $10,000.
Even better, our giving partner Classy is waiving all online gift processing fees, which means 200% of your gift goes directly to buildOn.
Volunteer your voice on social media and a donation will be made on your behalf
Share a message on social media supporting buildOn youth #GivingEveryDay and $1 will be donated to buildOn by an anonymous donor. Make sure that your Facebook, Twitter or Instagram post includes hashtags #GivingTuesday and #GivingEveryDay. We have two fun ways for to help you share:
- Add a buildOn Twibbon to Your Profile Pic: Update your Facebook or Twitter profile photo to show you’re part of the buildOn Movement and include a message with your support. - Share a buildOn #GivingEveryDay #UNSelfie: Show the the world you’re a member of the buildOn Movement with an #UNSelfie! Just download and print one of the signs below, take a selfie holding your sign, and post to Instagram, Twitter or Facebook.
