Is your neighborhood a #GoodHood?
We love our neighborhoods and every day individuals across the globe are volunteering in their communities to make them even better!
In the U.S., buildOn students have contributed over 1.2 million hours building #GoodHoods! By serving meals in Oakland soup kitchens, turning South Philly vacant lots into vegetable gardens, and boarding up abandoned homes in Detroit youth are making their communities safer, cleaner and friendlier places to live.
We want to see your #GoodHood!
During the month of April we are celebrating the steps, big and small, that people are taking to improve their communities.
Help us celebrate by taking a photo of something you love about your neighborhood OR a photo of how you are helping to make it even better.
Then, share the photo with @buildOn on Instagram or Twitter using the hashtag #GoodHood or by posting it on buildOn’s Facebook wall.
On April 28th, a team of buildOn students will choose and showcase 10 of their favorite #GoodHood entries on the buildOn Facebook page. From there, our community will vote. The top three pictures with the most likes will be given an amazing #GoodHood award and be featured on buildOn.org.
We can’t wait to see your #GoodHood!
