ONE buildOn in Action – Reforestation in Nicaragua
As part of our Environmental Justice Is Social Justice campaign, some of our partner communities in the Mico Region of Nicaragua recently participated in a reforestation project. Of the estimated 650 people involved in the initiative, many were students at buildOn schools. In the coming days, these students will irrigate and care for their young trees. As the need for environmental awareness and action grows, we are very excited to see communities coming together to inspire their children to take action and help build a better tomorrow. In total, nearly 300 trees are expected to be planted in these Nicaraguan communities.
