The Bay Area celebrates 2014 buildOn graduates

We’re pleased to announce the 2014 Bay Area Dinner was a huge success! Nearly 500 guests arrived at the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco ready to learn how they can help make an impact both in the Bay Area and abroad.

The event was a celebration of the 2014 Bay Area buildOn graduates. To date, students in the Bay Area have contributed almost 200,000 service hours since 2002! We’re also pleased to say 95% of students who are in the buildOn Afterschool Program not only graduate from high school but go on to college. Jazmine and Jack, both high school seniors, gave speeches at the dinner about the impact the Afterschool Program had and their hopes for the future.

We also congratulated long-time buildOn supporter, Keith Cox, with the 2014 Global Impact Award. Keith, along with the Malawi School Project, will be breaking ground on their 20th buildOn school this year! We are thankful for Keith’s support to help efforts both in the Bay Area and abroad.

Benefits from the event will go towards buildOn Afterschool Programs in the Bay Area and to help send students from the Bay Area abroad to help build schools.
