Working for our food

Every morning villagers rise before the sun to gather fire wood and water, cook breakfast, tend to their animals and then head out to the fields to work with their crops. The people of La Soledad are mostly subsistence farmers and only able to grow and harvest enough food to survive.

We wanted you to get a taste of village life and let you partake in one of the many chores of the morning hours. Suffice it to say, the students have never done anything like this back in Detroit!
