Build a School
Travel. Build. Transform.
Whether you’re an individual, a group, or a company, buildOn welcomes you to build a school with us! To embark on this life-changing journey we call Trek, you’ll first need to fundraise on your own or form a team. Once your goal has been met, you’ll travel to one of our partner countries, work side-by-side with community members to construct a school, immerse in the local culture, and see the profound impact of service and education first-hand.Get Started

Your Trek Begins Today
We’re here to answer questions, help you get started on your journey, and provide support every step of the way.
Partner with friends, family, classmates, or colleagues––or fundraise on your own! Teams are welcome, but not required.
buildOn’s online fundraising tools are available to you to reach supporters, take online donations, and stay updated on your progress. Each buildOn school requires about $35,000 in funding.
Once you’ve reached your fundraising goal, it’s time to travel, serve, immerse, and transform. Hear what past participants have to say about their Trek experience!

What Trek Volunteers Are Saying
“Trek was by far the most impactful experience I’ve ever been a part of. Seeing the change you can make, while being alongside incredible communities, people, and volunteers, was nothing short of life-changing.”
“I am also a firm believer that seeing / experiencing other cultures and ways of life helps develop empathy and a better intercultural understanding between communities and peoples, and going on trek helped further my own growth and that of my students.”
“I learned that female empowerment is so vital, and it is especially important to uplift females everywhere, even when it’s accustomed not to.”
“I would definitely recommend the Trek experience to others. The Trek experience is all-encompassing: travel, service with a community, living with a village family, cultural activities, and nightly reflections. It beautifully combines the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual exertion that one needs to personally up-level in almost every way.”
